Solving Visa Problems by Thinking Outside the Box
We think differently and outside the box. By way of example, we recently assisted a client on a 457-visa aged over 50 who faced having to wait 4 years before being eligible for permanent residency. We successfully obtained a distinguished talent visa, meaning that our client obtained his permanent residency much faster. This also resulted in a substantial saving on university fees, which would otherwise have applied to his children.

Alex Pretorius - Registered Migration Agent

Alex Pretorius has been in practice in Australia as well as overseas for fifteen years. Alex runs our Bundaberg and Johannesburg offices and has been the driving force in introducing and establishing a migration law section in the firm, having practised in this area for most of his legal career.
Prior to working at MiGrate Lawyers in Bundaberg, Alex lived in the United Kingdom and South Africa, now holding dual citizenship for Australia and South Africa. During this time, he gained first-hand experience in understanding the complexities and emotions involved with finding your feet in a new country.
Alex ensures clients are not left in the lurch the moment a visa is approved; he will guide them with that post-visa assistance, including renting or purchasing advice of any type of property or business, assisting with professional referrals such as a bank, doctor, accountant, internet and mobile services, as well as the drafting of legal documents including family trusts or wills.
Alex is very passionate about succeeding in assisting potential migrants. Leaving no stone untouched in exploring all possible avenues, he takes extreme pride in our slogan "Migrants helping Migrants”
Peter Rowe has practised as a lawyer in Australia and overseas for twenty-five years.
Peter runs our Brisbane Office and has been the driving force in the establishment of MiGrate Lawyers. Peter is a well-travelled migrant himself, holding Australian and EU passports and dual citizenship. He understands the complex issues, legal and otherwise, which impact upon all migrants.
Peter has particular experience in addressing every day legal issues affecting migrants including multi-jurisdictional wills, purchase of property, and establishment of businesses.
Peter’s philosophy for the firm is that we are "Professionals helping Professionals" and we are "Migrants helping Migrants". We seek long term relationships with our clients and we will never compromise our values for short-term gain.
